On-line Data-Processor
The arithmetic unit is very fast by comparison with the best ofpresent-day standards. It performs over two million operations a second.
The machine will be used mainly for real-time on-line data-processing
in applications demanding maximum speed and flexibility.
It is designed for priority processing to enable more
than one programme to run at a time, and has facoilities for programme
interruption in response to an external stimulus.
