Another day of problems. First thing Pete swapped the grab for the bucket to load the brick rubble into lorries. When he removed the grab a shower of hydraulic fluid told us that one of the hoses had split. He managed to get the bucket on but would not be able to get it off again without repairs.

A temporary fix, allowed him to carry on with the bucket and during the morning seven lorries were filled and transported off-site for crushing.

During a spare moment, waiting for empty lorries, he managed to pull up one corner of the slab, and found it was impressively large! In order to break out the rest he decided it would need the big hammer.

Eventually, after lunch, the split hose was replaced and he switched to the hammer, punched a couple of holes in the slab, before a further lorry turned up for the remaining bricks! A quick swap back to the bucket and the area was finally cleared, and the hammer was resumed.

It was clear this was going to take some time, and one hole punched in the ground is much like another, so I toddled off early.

I will see what progress is made tomorrow.

The building fund is growing, but slowly. We have received promised grants, but still need quite a bit more to fund completion. We have do have enough money to make a start on the fitting out process, but it will only cover part of the job. The sooner we have the money the sooner we will be able to complete the building and start making use of it.

If you would like to make a donation towards this, then please click this link. Thank you!

We have recently received a number of donations which are much appreciated. If one was from you, then we are deeply grateful. Thank you very much!
