Only a minute bit of slab left first thing. Peter got to work with the hammer and made short work of that.

The whole of the slab was then a sea of rubble. Peter switched to the bucket and started re-arranging it into a rubble mountain.

I could only spare a couple of hours this morning, had to leave before the lorries (hopefully) turned up to collect the rubble. We'll see tomorrow.

Video
Breaking up the last corner of the slab.

A sea of rubble.

Video
Shovelling the rubble.

A stubborn remainder of the steelwork.

A tangle of reinforcing mesh.

Video
Working near the gas main.
The pipe is under the black bin
and is just outside the concrete slab.

A mountain of rubble, awaiting collection.

The building fund is growing, but slowly. We have received promised grants, but still need quite a bit more to fund completion. We have do have enough money to make a start on the fitting out process, but it will only cover part of the job. The sooner we have the money the sooner we will be able to complete the building and start making use of it.

If you would like to make a donation towards this, then please click this link. Thank you!

We have recently received a number of donations which are much appreciated. If one was from you, then we are deeply grateful. Thank you very much!
