Some more photos today. Most of the building has had asbestos materials removed. Only the boiler house remains to be done, but this awaits removal of the electricity supply. Needless to say, this has not yet been done. Scottish Power are taking their time to come and isolate things. Current expectation is they will do this on Friday, the boiler room can then have its asbestos panels removed, and then demolition can commence.

Watch this space....

Here's a few more photos of the insides, showing that various things have been removed or demolished.

Ladies toilet has lost the front wall and
much of the contents

In the main hall, more of the parquet tiles
have gone, the audio box has been demolished,
and some radiators are now detached.
There's a hole through the end wall!

A big pile of glassfibre insulation has been
taken out and piled up.

The brick plinths which held the organ speakers
have been dismantled.

The artexed ceilings at either side of the
extension have been taken down.

Artexed ceiling in the office also taken down.

The office switchboard seems to have come loose?

Evidence of damp in the passageway.

Closer view of the hole in the end wall.

This was the audio box....

The kitchen has been stripped bare.

Large skip filling up with debris.

Remains of the gas boiler.

The building fund is growing, but slowly. We have received promised grants, but still need quite a bit more to fund completion. We have do have enough money to make a start on the fitting out process, but it will only cover part of the job. The sooner we have the money the sooner we will be able to complete the building and start making use of it.

If you would like to make a donation towards this, then please click this link. Thank you!

We have recently received a number of donations which are much appreciated. If one was from you, then we are deeply grateful. Thank you very much!
